The following is a list of the Top-100 U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Prime Contractors
in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 ranked by total contract funds awarded.
In FY 2021, the DoD awarded a total of $387.0 billion in defense contracts
down 8.2% from $421.5 billion in FY 2020.
The DoD's share of total government contracts
was 60.8% in FY21 down from 63.3% in FY20.
In FY 2021, top awardee Lockheed Martin received $40.0 billion in prime contracts
or 10.3% of total contract funds awarded by the DoD. Runner-up was Boeing with $22.2 billion (5.7%)
followed by Raytheon Technologies in third place with $20.0 billion (5.2%). General Dynamics received $17.0 billion (4.4%)
followed by Pfizer, Northrop Grumman, Humana, Moderna, Huntington Ingalls, and L3Harris.
BAE Systems, #12 on the list, was the largest foreign DoD defense contractor in FY 2021.
