Northrop Grumman is a leading global security company. The company provides innovative systems, products and solutions in unmanned systems; cybersecurity; command, control, communications and computers (C4) intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR); and logistics and modernization to government and commercial customers worldwide through four segments: Aerospace Systems, Electronic Systems, Information Systems and Technical Services. Northrop Grumman also conducts business with local, state, and foreign governments and domestic and international commercial customers.

Sales to the U.S. Government include sales from contracts for which Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor, as well as those for which the company is a subcontractor and the ultimate customer is the U.S. Government. Each of the company's segments derives substantial revenue from the U.S. Government. Sales to the U.S. Government amounted to $20.0 billion, $21.3 billion, $22.3 billion and $23.4 billion, or 84%, 86%, 88% and 89% of total sales for the years ended December 31, 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011, respectively.

International sales (which include Foreign Military Sales (FMS)) accounted for $3.0 billion, $2.5 billion, $2.1 billion and $2.1 billion, or 13%, 10%, 8% and 8%, of total revenues for the years ended December 31, 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011, respectively.
